3D Surface Entities
The surface entities are:
3D Face
Polyface Mesh
3D Mesh
Revolved Surface
Tabulated Surface
Ruled Surface
Edge Surface
3D Solid Entities
The solid entities are:
Box
Sphere
Cylinder
Cone
Torus
Wedge
Extruded Solid
Revolved Solid
3D Boolean Modelling Operations
The boolean operations which modify LT3D PRO 2002 solids are:
Union
Subtract
Intersect
Slice
Section
Interference
3D Viewing
To make the creation and viewing of 3D objects with AutoCAD
LT® 2002 easier, "hotkey" combinations have been included in the program:
"V" + "END" = Set UCS & view to World UCS
"V" + "Delete" = SW isometric view
"V" + "Page Down" = SE isometric view
"V" + "Page Up" = NE isometric view
"V" + "Home" = SW isometric view
"V" + "Down Arrow" = View from the front (bottom of screen when in
World UCS) and set UCS to view
"V" + "Up Arrow" = View from behind (top of screen when in World
UCS) and set UCS to view
"V" + "Left Arrow" = View from the left and set UCS to view
"V" + "Right Arrow" = View from the right and set UCS to view
3D Object Manipulations
These routines are for manipulation the location of object in 3D
space:
3D Array
Mirror 3D
Rotate 3D
Move Z
Copy Z
Utilities
These routines work or report on the 3D objects:
Edge
Explode
Massprop
Working with other CAD systems
Some of the objects created by LT3D PRO 2002 are Custom CAD Objects. In their native format they will not be able to be seen in AutoCAD® alone, nor exported via DXF to other CAD systems.
Methods have been devised for working with other CAD systems:
Download the Custom CAD Object Viewer for AutoCAD® or
AutoCAD LT® 2002.
Explode the Custom CAD Objects prior to sending to
the other CAD system. This will produce standard AutoCAD®
entities which can therefore be seen by native AutoCAD®,
or exported via DXF.
